EventTotal (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our app.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

EventTotal does not require an account or bank connection. Your trackers, expenses, budgets, notes, categories, recurring expenses, custom categories, and settings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us.

This information remains until you delete it, restore another backup, or uninstall EventTotal, subject to device or operating-system backups you control.

2. Backups

Backups are created only when you request one and may contain your EventTotal tracker and expense data. We do not receive or have access to your backup data.

You choose where to save a backup using your device's sharing options. You are responsible for keeping backup files secure and deleting them when no longer needed.

Restoring a backup reads the selected file locally and replaces the EventTotal data currently on your device. Analytics preferences, analytics identifiers, and queued analytics events are not included in EventTotal backup files.

3. Optional Anonymous App Analytics

EventTotal asks for permission before collecting app-usage analytics. Analytics is off unless you choose to share it. You can enable or disable it at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. EventTotal works the same whether analytics is on or off.

When analytics is enabled, we may receive:

We use this information only to understand aggregate app usage, such as daily active installations and feature adoption, and to improve EventTotal.

Analytics events never include tracker or expense names, amounts, currencies, dates, notes, merchants, payment methods, categories, custom labels, local record identifiers, contacts, advertising identifiers, or backup contents.

The random anonymous user ID is created by EventTotal. It is not an Apple device identifier or advertising identifier, is not connected to an EventTotal account, and is not included in backups. We do not attempt to connect it to a real-world identity or combine it with third-party data.
